I found my career in the veterinary field later in life. After years of owning a health club and restaurant, I realized my one constant passion was a love for animals. I decided to pursue a career in veterinary nursing. I started as an assistant at the Princeton Animal Hospital in Princeton, New Jersey, where I found my calling. I studied and worked my way to become a Veterinary Nurse Technician.
I returned to my home state of Maine to work at the Veterinary Centre of Cape Elizabeth. After years in general practice, I made the decision to move to specialty and emergency medicine. I was fortunate to become part of the amazing team at MVRC in Scarborough, now Maine Veterinary Medical Center. Working with the team at MVMC brought my nursing skills to a level I remain deeply proud of. In 2013, I made the decision to leave hands on veterinary nursing to pursue a career at IDEXX Laboratories, an animal health diagnostic company in Maine. I spent the next seven years working with corporate consolidation leadership teams on large scale implementations, with a laser focus on creating a positive experience for the veterinary teams.
Being a Regional Manager for Rarebreed has brought me back to my passion of working with veterinary professionals who are dedicated to providing the best experience for pets and the people who love them.
