Partner, Director Of Veterinary Development
Born and raised in small town America, I have no conscious memories of ever wanting to be anything but a veterinarian when I grew up. Those aspirations never wavered as I navigated my way through the academic years, culminating ultimately in a rewarding life spent giving care to those without a voice, and counsel to those that love them so.
I’ve known the challenges and rewards of veterinary life at every level, from my time spent as a bright eyed receptionist in that small satellite clinic in Montreal circa 1991, to the sleepless life of a companion animal intern as a new graduate at the WCVM, to the years spent as a dedicated and driven associate, and finally, to the last 15 years spent as the owner of a busy and dynamic veterinary hospital in Portland Maine. Guiding Casco Bay Vet from a one doctor, two support staff operation to its current status as a 5 doctor, 14 staff member part of the Rarebreed Veterinary Partners family is one of my proudest accomplishments.
My role at Rarebreed is to help guide the development of our veterinary partnerships at every stage, from early inception to full integration. By sharing insights into what binds us all as devoted caretakers of animals and shining a light on the challenges we face, I hope to play a role in helping colleagues achieve both personal and professional success by enjoying the benefits that the right corporate partnership can bring.
Being part of this exciting and dynamic team at Rarebreed allows me to help shape the future of modern veterinary medicine, with an emphasis on creating amazing work environments for dedicated teams to achieve their universal mission statement; to be committed to having a positive impact on animals and the people they share their lives with.
